About Us
Hayward Panthers Basketball Program was started in 1999 and ran through 2007. In August 2018, we decided to resurrect the program with the next generation of players. Our basketball program is passionate about fostering the values and lessons learnt through the sport of basketball. We are focused on three distinct pillars with our student-athletes:
1. Their fundamental skills
2. Their physical athleticism
3. Their enhancement of life skills
These life skills include self-confidence, leadership, hard work, what it means to be a teammate, respect, determination, how to be humble yet be sure of yourself, listening, and having fun through competition. We expect our student-athletes to learn and grow in the game of basketball and also as young men.
Hayward Panthers Basketball Program brings a high quality, professionally run basketball program to the city of Hayward and surrounding area. We can help you achieve your basketball goals and reach your maximum potential as a player through our AAU basketball teams for boys ages 9-14. Hayward Panthers Basketball Program is dedicated to bringing you a highly organized experience in a safe and positive environment.
Hayward Panthers Basketball Program is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization and provides financial assistance to players who otherwise would not have the opportunity to participate in a well-organized athletic program.
Mission
With the goal of training student-athletes for premier, elite and competitive level events, the Hayward Panthers have been driven to begin developing a strong AAU Basketball program in the city of Hayward and surrounding area. We believe that playing basketball is an excellent avenue to teach moral principles and characteristics such as dedication, teamwork, discipline, self-confidence, and sportsmanship.
